Andy Awards
It was 2012 and the world was predicted to end according to the Mayan Calendar, R/GA, the agency that I was working for at the time, was in charge of the organization of the Andy Awards, and the concept we came up with revolved around this idea.
The concept extended to all the different aspects of the campaign, the site was a journey underground to safe the work for eternity on a bunker deep down the surface of earth
The event venue was themed as bunker and equipped with survival devices that you could share on social media, a giant asteroid was the center piece of the main room where the awards were given to the winners.
Creatives love recognition. Fact. But the trophy usually ends up sitting on a shelf gathering dust. For the Andy Awards, we decided to fix that by creating a modern, more personal way to celebrate an achievement. Through a partnership with the Advertising club, we created the My Andy app. This unique digital trophy shelf allows the winner to keep their kudos with them all the time. What's more, it's one of the most exclusive apps in the world as it's only available to the Andy winners.
